This model is for a 3 amp load (maximum)

A voltage control device, not a filtering device.
Many wall outlets have way over the standard 115vac with
many running into 124-127 vac range.
-
Vintage tube equipment were designed for 115vac and will
now produce more voltage on the secondaries than is desirable.

Using the autoformer will drop these voltages down to a lower
operating range preserving components and extending tube life.
Example:
Wall outlet voltage- 118vac:  109.5vac output
                            124vac:  115vac output

Your results will vary with load and wall outlet voltage.
This is a plug in and use device. There are no adjustments.
