Order errors, Warranty & Returns

Order errors
a) Best way to avoid errors is to place a written order. Do not use multiple email addresses, or use various names.
b) Errors do happen. If your order has an error, or other problem, contact us immediately so it can be corrected.
Do not contact us a year later claiming an order error.
c) When contacting us, provide basic information like name, address, item ordered. "Where's my order? Joe"
only serves to delay resolution of any problem.
d) Pricing is based on one straight through order. Order changes or additions may incur additional charges. Plan
your
order carefully.
Returns
and return fees- Updated 8/30/06
In order to assure customers they are getting fresh parts, we offer only a limited return policy.
Defective items: Customer is responsible for return shipping. An adjustment will be made on item(s) found defective.
a) All returns in 30 days. An RMA is required. Shipping is non refundable. Items must be unused.
Parts are warranted for their intended purposes only.
Use outside of their intended purpose voids any warranty.
Running product at the maximum of their ratings may cause early part failure.
Some companies now require you send any defective part back to them for warranty service.
Handmade disclaims any responsibility for misuse of any product by customer sold by us.
Observe good engineering and use practice handling any electrical equipment.
If you do not have the good sense to properly use a product... do not buy it.
b) Non-returnable items: Capacitors (outside of defect), kits, wire, wire insulation, books, special order parts (must be paid for in advance).
Unless described inaccurately, tubes can not be returned for construction qualities.
Tested tubes are selected for best performance and gross defect, but are not guaranteed to be 100% free of
audio bugs like microphonics.
c) There is a 10% restock fee on all returned parts. Returns are costly for both parties... don't order
impulsively, and plan your list before ordering.
d) Companies will periodically make minor changes to the cosmetics of their product, this is not reason
for a return.
Always measure dimensions before ordering product.
e) Sound quality can not be guaranteed, as this is a subjective judgement. Descriptions provided are
general impressions only.
Have your invoice number ready for reference before contacting us.
