Photoflash caps were a very popular high performance power
supply cap
 
Please read the following:
Photoflash capacitors were not intended for B+ filtering and 
are not warranted by Rubycon for B+ service. I suggest you do 
not use directly off the rectifier as these caps were not designed 
to absorb pulses, but after a choke or filter resistor for years of
life and service.

Ideal for preamplifiers and the input sections of power amps.
